At ancient times, within the locality of the lake of Tsirma, there was a pond visited by rural girls.

The settlers gossiped around about a bewitched place somewhere in the nearest vicinities, in which all unmarried girls would get married.

Once upon a time, all the girls had gathered by the pond, washed their washing, and talked about mere trifles. Suddenly, at a distance in the sky, there appeared a dark cloud, which approached the pond, where the girls were washing.

Then, it got dark around, above the pond was the huge cloud, and the girls in fear ran together into one place, and nestled to each other, and one of the girls cried in a fright: «Cyrms!».

At this moment, the huge cloud had burst, and, as if out of a huge dipper, the water was poured out onto the place of the pond and instantly turned it into a lake. The cloud had then bypassed the girls, while they remained standing on land.

The girls understood that the bewitched place was found. Hardly half a year could pass, all the unmarried girls got married.

The island that the girls were standing on was named «The Island of Brides». The lake formed this way and this time was named Cirma, thanks to which once a small village became prosperous and turned then to a considerable settlement. The settlement was renamed after Dzerkali, so was called the girl who uttered that magic word.

Time goes by, and much water has flowed under the bridges. But until now there is a legend that the place Dzerkali is magic and romantic. Many family couples were tied by marriage right here, and they still live in love and chime up to this day.

To believe or not to belive? It is up to you to decide...
